Each year, we observe the following Feast & Festivals:
We recognize the redemption of the Israelites from slavery. This sacred time includes the sacrificial lamb, the sprinkling of blood on the crosspiece and side door posts, as well as the removal of leaven from the house. No work is to be done.
Occurs simultaneously with the Passover, specifically the day after and lasts 7 days. No leaven is to be consumed, as there was no time for the Israelites to allow their bread to rise, when God delivered them from Egypt. No work on the first day. No work on the last day.
Celebrated the day after the Sabbath, during the Feast of Unleavened Bread. It is a feast of thanksgiving and the promise of more sustainment for the remainder of the year. It is also a reminder to tithe (10%) from the first fruits (your gross income).
Pentecost = 50 Days: This is 50 days after the Passover. It is a harvest festival of thanksgiving. No work is to be done.
God commanded the blowing of trumpets to call the congregation together for a solemn assembly. We continue to look forward to the coming of the Messiah (when that last trump shall sound). No work is to be done.
Observed as one of the holiest days during the year, it is a day in which we fast and pray continually. No work is done on this day.
The final festival of the year. If possible, it is a good time to travel to the Holy City (Jerusalem). It is a festival that reminds us of the temporary dwelling places in the wilderness. No work on the first day. No work on the last day.
